Field Service Success Story

During the summer run, ETON Controls received an order to bid on over 30 valves for an upcoming 85-day fall outage. Despite submitting a quote, ETON Controls was not awarded the bid, and the contract went to the field service of the OEM.

However, on September 18th, just as the outage date approached sooner than initially scheduled, three control valves suddenly failed. The outage supervisor urgently contacted the OEM, requesting immediate technician support. Unfortunately, the OEM claimed to be fully booked and unable to send technicians to the facility.

In a critical moment, the outage supervisor reached out to ETON Controls, expressing the urgent need for their field service technicians to handle the situation. ETON Controls, having completed a previous outage ahead of schedule, swiftly dispatched technicians who took the next available flight, while a few field representatives drove a trailer 800 miles overnight to reach the station by morning.

The outcome exceeded expectations, and the plant was highly satisfied with ETON Controls’ field service. This successful intervention has solidified ETON Controls as the primary source for field service, showcasing their commitment to providing timely and reliable support when it matters most.
